Faith… The size of a mustard seed, All things are possible!

It is the smallest of all seeds, and becomes the largest of plants.

The Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed, which springs up and becomes the largest of plants, like a tender shoot from the cedar which will bear fruit and become a majestic cedar. So shall the just one flourish, like a cedar. As we walk by faith and not by sight, may our lives bear fruit in abundance.

God our Father,
In your wisdom and love you have created us and called us your own. Bless our fathers, that they may be strengthened as Christian fathers.

Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. In moments of joy, rejoice with them. In times of struggle, give them your courage and perseverance. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honor and appreciate them always with a spirit of profound respect.

May the example and prayer of St. Joseph inspire them to live their vocation with courage. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saint Aloysius Gonzaga: June 21st.

St. Aloysius is the patron saint of youth and students because of his service to others as a young adult. He was an Italian aristocrat who became a member of the Society of Jesus.

While still a student at the Roman College, he died at twenty three years of age as a result of caring for the victims of a serious epidemic. He was beatified in 1605 and canonized in 1726.

Every parish in Florida is asked to unite in prayer and encourage its parishioners to vote NO on Amendment 4 on November 5th.

It is necessary for Catholics to protect and promote the sanctity of life in all circumstances and stages of development.

Prayer to Defeat Florida’s Abortion Amendment

Ever-living God, you give life and desire a future for all your children. Take hold of our nation, state, and community and awaken in every heart awe for the gift of life. Send your Spirit to strengthen us with wisdom and fortitude as we defend mothers and children in Florida from laws that disregard their health and safety.

Mary and Joseph trusted in you and welcomed Jesus into our broken world. God Almighty, we ask their intercession to protect the preborn and their mothers, and to guide all parents in raising their children. May they help us builda civilization of love by upholding the sacredness of life and accompanying pregnant women in need.

We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Our Lady, Mother of the Family, pray for us!

St. Joseph, Protector of the Unborn, pray for us!

ABCD - Stewardship

With faith and gratitude, stewardship is a lifestyle that acknowledges that God is our creator and owner of all we have. Recognizing that everything is a gift from God, a steward willingly gives a portion of those gifts to others, especially to those who are in need. Giving a portion of our financial resources is part of stewardship living.

“Lord, it is good to give thanks to you.”
- Psalm 92:2

As good stewards we most profoundly respond in gratitude to God by living and growing as a community who is responsible and accountable for the many gifts we have been given.

As of today, we would like to provide an update on our parish’s performance for the 2024 ABCD. Please find below a summary of our parish’s progress:

  • Parish Goal: $97,062.00
  • Total Gifts: $85,778.00
  • Gift Over/Under: $11,284.00

Our commitment to the 2024 ABCD as a parish is a testimony to our collective faith and the love we have for those in need. Though we have made significant progress, we’ve yet to meet our goal. Every contribution helps, and with your support, we can make a real difference. Please take a moment to consider making a gift to the ABCD today - helping us achieve our goal and offering love and compassion to those who need it most.

If you have not already done so, please make your pledge to ABCD today.

Parish Registration +

Friday, July 1, 2022

To be considered an active/participating member of the parish and eligible to receive a sponsor eligibility certificate or a parish verification letter for your child, St. Matthew asks that you be registered in the parish for at least three months, attend Mass regularly and show a commitment to stewardship of time, talent and treasure. Attendance at Mass is the most meaningful way we model and live our Catholic faith. The use of weekly offertory envelopes or online giving are the primary means of determining if parishioners are attending Mass. Kindly place your envelopes in the collection basket each Sunday even if you cannot make a monetary contribution.

Registration forms are available online or by calling the parish office (954) 458-1590.

Registration is required before the parish can issue a sponsorship certificate for those asked to be a sacrament sponsor. You must be a registered, contributing member for at least three months before a certificate is provided.
