“Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time will come.” - Mark 13:33

We all take things for granted, in particular, time. Our lives are so busy, many of us are planning our time - our days, weeks, months, even years in advance. Remember, our time on earth is a gift. Start today and begin thanking God for each and every day. Take time in silence, every day, and in reflective prayer listen to what God is saying to you. Also, join in supporting St. Matthew Parish through online giving and be sure to remember St. Matthew Catholic Church in your will. Thank you.

Gracias.

ABCD 2023 +

Thursday, May 25, 2023

  • ABCD GOAL 2023 is set at $88,151.00.
  • Total pledges received as of 5/24/2023 $91,539.00.

Thank You for Your Help in Reaching Our Parish Goal!

Thank you for your participation and support of the annual Archbishop’s Charity and Development Drive (ABCD). Each year our parish counts on the support of our community so that we can not only achieve our parish goal but also so that we can unite as a Catholic community and spread the love of Christ beyond our parish doors.

ABCD supports the many ministries of the Catholic Church in the three counties of our Archdiocese - these ministries represent concrete ways in which we perform what are called the spiritual and corporal works of mercy. The Archbishop’s Charity and Development Drive (ABCD) exists because of the generosity of people like yourselves, people who in good times and in bad times keep their support of the Church on their list of major priorities.

Your support is truly appreciated! Thank you and God bless you!

Abcd Past, Present, Future

ABCD is ….

ABCD IS LOVE translated into concrete gestures and actions by helping those in need with the means to overcome difficulties and obstacles.

ABCD REINTRODUCES HOPE into the world by assisting the widow, the orphan, the alien, the oppressed and the poor. ABCD also works to protect the rights and the dignity of all.

ABCD IS CHARITY fostered in unity and fraternity to support the many ministries of the Catholic Church in the three counties of our Archdiocese.

ABCD IS UNIVERSAL. Programs served through the ABCD invest in the lives of others. We serve not because they’re Catholic, but because we’re Catholic.

Parish Registration +

Friday, July 1, 2022

To be considered an active/participating member of the parish and eligible to receive a sponsor eligibility certificate or a parish verification letter for your child, St. Matthew asks that you be registered in the parish for at least three months, attend Mass regularly and show a commitment to stewardship of time, talent and treasure. Attendance at Mass is the most meaningful way we model and live our Catholic faith. The use of weekly offertory envelopes or online giving are the primary means of determining if parishioners are attending Mass. Kindly place your envelopes in the collection basket each Sunday even if you cannot make a monetary contribution.

Registration forms are available online or by calling the parish office (954) 458-1590.

Registration is required before the parish can issue a sponsorship certificate for those asked to be a sacrament sponsor. You must be a registered, contributing member for at least three months before a certificate is provided.
