Mother’s Day is May 12th.
Envelopes are on the tables in back of Church if you would like to remember Mom, Grandma or anyone else at the Novena of Masses next week in honor of Mother’s Day.
Just fill out the envelope with your intentions, put your donation inside and place the envelope in the offertory basket.

St. Matthew Church … last Brunch before the Summer
Sunday, May 26th we will be holding our last Brunch before summertime in Parish Hall.
Come by and spend some time with us. There will be coffee, soda, water, donuts, empanadas and other delicious offerings available to purchase and enjoy. There will also be a Clearance Sale of women’s costume jewelry available for you to look over and see what you would like to take home. St. Matthew Parish appreciates the support that you, as our parishioners, give to your Church in this fundraising effort.

Ever-living God, you give life and desire a future for all your children. Take hold of our nation, state, and community and awaken in every heart awe for the gift of life. Send your Spirit to strengthen us with wisdom and fortitude as we defend mothers and children in Florida from laws that disregard their health and safety.
Mary and Joseph trusted in you and Welcomed Jesus into our broken world. God Almighty, we ask their intercession protect the preborn and their mothers, and to guide all parents in raising their children. May they help us build a civilization of love by upholding the sacredness of life and accompanying pregnant women in need.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

ABCD - Stewardship
Stewardship is not a single action or a program. It is a way of Christian living where we come to know that all we have is a gift from God, and we are invited to return those gifts with love to the Lord, our parish and our community.
“This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this, to lay
down one’s life for one’s friends.”
- John 15:12-15
Jesus’ commandment is that His disciples love one another, even to the point of laying down their lives, if necessary. What gifts of myself - my skills and talents, my time and resources - will demonstrate my love for God’s people?

El mandamiento de Jesús es que Sus discípulos se amen unos a otros, incluso hasta el punto de dar su vida, si es necesario. ¿Qué dones de mí mismo - mis habilidades y talentos, mi tiempo y mis recursos - puedo dar que demuestren mi amor por el pueblo de Dios?

To be considered an active/participating member of the parish and eligible to receive a sponsor eligibility certificate or a parish verification letter for your child, St. Matthew asks that you be registered in the parish for at least three months, attend Mass regularly and show a commitment to stewardship of time, talent and treasure. Attendance at Mass is the most meaningful way we model and live our Catholic faith. The use of weekly offertory envelopes or online giving are the primary means of determining if parishioners are attending Mass. Kindly place your envelopes in the collection basket each Sunday even if you cannot make a monetary contribution.
Registration forms are available online or by calling the parish office (954) 458-1590.
Registration is required before the parish can issue a sponsorship certificate for those asked to be a sacrament sponsor. You must be a registered, contributing member for at least three months before a certificate is provided.
Para ser considerado un miembro activo/participante de la Parroquia y ser elegible para recibir un certificado de patrocinar o apadrinar o recibir una carta de verificación de la Parroquia para su hijo/a, St. Matthew le pide que Ud. esté inscrito/a en la parroquia por al menos tres meses, asistir a la Misa regularmente y demuestre un compromiso de participación con su tiempo, talento y tesoro. Asistir a la Misa es la manera más significativa por la cual modelamos y vivimos nuestra fe Católica. El uso de los sobres semanales del ofertorio o contribuir mediante la red de internet son la manera principal de determiner si un feligrés está asistiendo a la misa. Por favor deposite su sobre en la canasta de la colecta cada domingo aunque no pueda hacer una contribución monetaria.
Los formularios para inscribirse están disponibles en el internet o llamando a la oficina de la parroquia (954) 458-1590.
La inscripción es requerida antes de que la Parroquia pueda emitir un certificado de patrocinio para aquellos que piden ser un patrocinador o padrino/a de un sacramento. Ud debe ser un miembro inscrito o registrado, un miembro contribuyente por al menos tres meses antes de que se le provea un certificado.
