The Ascension of our Lord
Christ is risen. He is seated at the right hand of the Father. He is with us always.
- The Ascension of our Lord is a beautiful reminder that Jesus did not leave us abandoned He rose into Heaven to prepare a place for us and to reign in glory beside the Father.
- In His Ascension, Christ lifted humanity with Him, giving us hope that our struggles, tears, and prayers are seen by Heaven.
- It is a day of promise, victory, and faith reminding us to keep our eyes on God even while walking through the challenges of this world.
- Through the Ascension, we are called to trust that Jesus is still guiding us, interceding for us, and surrounding us with His divine love and peace.
“Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return.” — Acts 1:11
Keep your eyes on Heaven. Christ is with us. Today. Always.
Prayer for the Ascension of the Lord
- Heavenly Father,
As we celebrate the glorious Ascension of Your Son, fill our hearts with hope, faith, and peace. - Lord Jesus, You ascended into Heaven not to leave us alone, but to draw us closer to eternal life.
- Lift our minds above fear, pain, confusion, and distraction. Help us to seek what is holy and pleasing to You.
- Strengthen our hearts when we feel weary, and remind us that Your presence is always with us.
- May the Holy Spirit guide our steps, renew our souls, and fill us with divine purpose.
- Teach us to trust in Your perfect timing and to keep our eyes fixed on Heaven.
- Lord, heal every wounded heart, break every chain that keeps us from You, and cover us with Your grace and protection.
- May the Ascension of Christ renew our faith, restore our joy, and remind us that our true home is with You.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Christ has ascended. Our hope is eternal.

The month of May is dedicated to Mary
Grow in Love. Turn to Mary. Lead others to Jesus.
Mary, Our Mother, Pray for us.
Throughout the Catholic Church, the month of May is lovingly dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother and Queen. As flowers bloom and the beauty of spring surrounds us, we are reminded of Mary’s purity, faith, humility, and loving “yes” to God.
Mary leads us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ. She intercedes for us in our joys, struggles, and prayers, always guiding us with a mother’s love toward holiness and peace.
During this special month, we are encouraged to:
- Pray the Rosary
- Honor Mary through prayer and devotion
- Reflect on her faith and obedience to God
- Ask for her intercession for our families and community

Happy Mother's Day!
To our beloved parishioners at Saint Matthew
We thank you, dear mothers, for your love, faith, and the beautiful way you reflect God's love every day. May God bless you abundantly for your selfless hearts and faithful witness.
You are a gift!
A prayer for mothers here with us
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of mothers. Bless them with wisdom and patience, with strength and joy in their daily sacrifice. May they always feel Your love and our gratitude. Through the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima, strengthen them in their vocation and fill their homes with Your peace and joy. Amen.
A prayer for mothers who have passed away
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, especially our mothers, be held in the embrace of Your love and rejoice forever in Your heavenly kingdom. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
To all mothers young and old, here with us or in Heaven we thank you and we pray for you.
Mary, Mother of God, watch over all mothers and their families. Amen.
