St. Thomas the Apostle was one of the 12 original disciples of Jesus Christ. Mostly known for his doubt of Christ’s Resurrection, Thomas (also known as Didymus) represents the humanity we all share. Our faith is one of mystery, and we all have questions that we would like to ask Jesus. Once seeing the wounds on Christ’s resurrected body, Thomas’ faith was firmed and he became a missionary. Traveling outside of the Roman Empire, Thomas went East eventually settling in India to preach the Good News. He was invited by the king to construct a palace, as Thomas was a skilled builder. But when Thomas distributed the payment from that project to the poor, it angered the king and got Thomas thrown in prison. He continued to preach the Gospel, causing disruption and anger amongst the establishment. Thomas was killed by a spear a wound similar to that which he touched on Jesus.

Thomas was canonized a Saint for his martyrdom. His Feast Day is July 3rd also recognized as Indian Christians Day.

St. Thomas the Apostle is also the Patron Saint of Architects.

As we celebrate the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, we remember two great Apostles who gave their lives completely to Christ. Though different in background and Mission Peter the Fisherman, Paul the Scholar both were united in their love for the Lord and their unwavering commitment to building up His Church.

Their lives are powerful examples of Christian Stewardship. Everything they had their time, their gifts, their very lives was placed in Service to the Gospel. They remind us that Stewardship is more than giving; It is a way of life rooted in gratitude, trust and Mission.

When you register in the parish, come to Mass on Sundays and participate in parish activities, you are practicing your faith and are considered an active parishioner. When you use the offertory envelops or online giving, you are showing your commitment in supporting your parish, as well as creating a record of your active presence in the community.

Registration is required for receiving any parish official document, such as eligibility certificates to be godparents, permits to celebrate sacraments in other churches, school verification for children, or any other letter for legal purposes.

Registration for at least six months is required for the celebration of sacraments.
