ABCD 2026! Together: Do Good, Seek Peace

ABCD 2026! Together: Do Good, Seek Peace

Despite the demands of everyday life, God speaks to us, prompting us to serve others, to love more deeply, and to give generously. The ABCD is a way to respond to that call. When we give together, we become alight in the darkness and hope to the hopeless. Join us in this mission. Together, let us do good and seek peace through hour support of the ABCD.

Together Do Good, Seek Peace

Through the Archbishop's Charities and Development Drive (ABCD), we answer this call together, doing good and seeking peace by supporting ministries that bring hope and healing.

Good Stewards recognize that God is working through them and they don't put themselves above the people they have been called to help.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (MATTHEW 5:3)

The phrase "poor in spirit" can be confusing. Think of it in this sense: poor in spirt means depending on God's providence and not depending on our own self reliance. Being detached from earthy things (power, money, and comfort) and being attached to heavenly things (charity, sacrifice, and mercy). Denying ourselves from satisfying our desires and helping others through Stewardship to obtain their basic needs.

Help families break the cycle of poverty today by making a gift to the ABCD. www.isupportABCD.org

Stewardship: Managing God’s Gifts to Us

Stewardship: Managing God’s Gifts to Us

Do you get jealous? Do you focus more on the things that other people have than on the gifts that God has given to you? Are you pompous? Do you acquire more possessions to impress others? At times we are all guilty of these things. Pray for more humility. Humility helps us become less 3self-centered4 and become more 2God-centered3 for the sake of others.

"He called them, and immediately they left their boat and their father and followed Him."
Matthew 4:22

In Stewardship to God, we should give our first and best of everything to Him: our time in daily prayer, our talent in participating in one of our parish ministries and our treasure to support the financial needs of our parish mission.
