Second Sunday of Lent

Second Sunday of Lent

O God, who have commanded us to listen to your beloved Son, be pleased, we pray, to nourish us inwardly by your word, that, with spiritual sight made pure, we may rejoice to behold your glory.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

ABCD 2026! Together: Do Good, Seek Peace

ABCD 2026! Together: Do Good, Seek Peace

We are getting close but we’re not quite there yet! With your help, Our Parish can meet its 2026 ABCD goal and continue the mission of love and service to those who need it most. Please take a moment to reflect, pray, and respond to God’s quiet call. Your generosity brings the Gospel to life. Together, let’s shine Christ’s light into the world.

It's difficult to teach or practice stewardship, unless we have a clear understanding of exactly what stewardship is. If we wish to embrace stewardship, we must gradually learn to embrace every definition or aspect of stewardship.

“The Lord said to Abram.... 'I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.” Genesis 12:1-2

In Baptism, God says the same thing to each of us. Stewardship is our response to our baptismal call. The stewardship lifestyle can unlock our full potential.

Stewardship: Managing God’s Gifts to Us

Stewardship: Managing God’s Gifts to Us

Do you get jealous? Do you focus more on the things that other people have than on the gifts that God has given to you? Are you pompous? Do you acquire more possessions to impress others? At times we are all guilty of these things.

Pray for more humility. Humility helps us become less "self-centered" and become more "God-centered" for the sake of others.

"He called them, and immediately they left their boat and their father and followed Him."
(Matthew 4:22)

In Stewardship to God, we should give our first and best of everything to Him: our time in daily prayer, our talent in participating in one of our parish ministries and our treasure to support the financial needs of our parish mission.

Planned Giving +

Planned Giving

As we enter the season of Lent, we are invited to renew our commitment to prayer, sacrifice, and generosity. Stewardship calls us to reflect on how we use God’s gifts to do good and seek peace in our world.

“It is written: ‘The Lord, your God, shall you worship and him alone shall you serve.’’ - MATTHEW 4:10

Tempted between the riches and power of this world and ser-vice to God, Jesus chose service to His Father. If we wish to truly follow Jesus, we, too, must decide to turn away from worldly power and riches and put God at the center of our lives. Lent is our time to prune ourselves of earthly things and develop and nurture heavenly things. Lent is time to repent living Stewardship and letting go of the other “gods” we have put before God.
