Message from Rev. James Arriola

Dear Parishioners of Saint Matthew,

We begin this Advent season with these words from the prophet Isaiah: “Come, let us climb the LORD’s mountain, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may instruct us in his ways, and we may walk in his paths.” Advent is a beautiful season not only because it looks toward Christmas and the birth of Christ, but First and foremost invites us to keep watch for Christ’s Second coming! This invitation is an invitation to Joy!

With advent a new liturgical year begin for the Church! Over the summer, I arrived at St. Matthew as the new Parochial Administrator, my First time having such an assignment. Thank you for welcoming me here to Halladale Beach! I ask for your prayers and your patience as we navigate this New Year together. There is a lot of work to be done for the Kingdom of God, and I am happy to be a part of it with all of you. May this Advent and Christmas Season bring you the Joy of Christ our Savior!
